Things To Do

Beautiful Warwick

Sitting on the banks of the Condamine River, historic Warwick – known for its roses and rodeo – features some of the state’s finest original sandstone buildings. Known as the ‘Rose and Rodeo Capital’, Warwick was settled over 150 years ago and has an interesting history to tell. Warwick’s famous Rose and Rodeo Festival is held on the last weekend in October.

The different walks will take you along the beautiful Condamine River, past historic buildings like Abbey of the Roses and St Mary’s Church, and through scenic parks and alleyways fringed with fragrant Crepe Myrtle.

Queen Mary Falls

From the picnic area, head along a fragrant eucalypt-topped ridgeline to the lush, rainforested gorge. At the lookout, watch Spring Creek plunge 40 metres over the falls to the valley floor. Marvel at the rainbows created by the waterfall’s sheer mist, and watch as the creek continues its twisting journey along the valley, to join the Condamine River’s upper reaches.
